
On June 5, a group of 25 students and staff members from the University of Hong Kong (HKU), a globally renowned university, visited Wishbuilder as part of a field study on social innovation cases.
The visit was arranged at the request of HKU, which aimed to learn about outstanding examples of social impact and social innovation in Korea. The exchange program, connected through UD Impact, was designed to introduce Wishbuilder’s innovative business model to global talent and to provide a meaningful platform for discussion on practical approaches to creating social value.

During the one-hour session held from 2:00 PM that day, CEO Kim Hyojin of Wishbuilder began with a Product & Office Showcase and provided students with a detailed overview of the company’s vision and philosophy.
In particular, Wishbuilder’s advanced water treatment technology that converts contaminated water into safe drinking water, along with its activities as a social venture addressing water issues both domestically and internationally, drew significant attention from the visiting delegation.
During the subsequent Q&A session, active discussions continued among the students. They showed strong interest in case studies of solving social problems using technology and global impact business models, and engaged in meaningful dialogue on social innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship.
